BUILDING THE FUTURE...ONE ROBOT AT A TIME!
Culver City High School is one of the only public schools on the west side of Los Angeles with its own robotics team.
Founded in 2001, Team 702 ("The Bagel Bytes") is a part of the FIRST Robotics Competition, which features robotics teams from more than 110 countries. Over the years, Team 702 has won dozens of awards and competitions, worked with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Aquarium of the Pacific, held public robotics demonstrations at community events like A Taste of Culver City and Festival La Ballona, and even worked with other high school teams to build a "Throw-Bot" that tossed out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium two years in a row!
Being part of the CCHS robotics team provides students with exciting opportunities they can’t get anywhere else on campus, including:
Design and Manufacture
3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and CNC Machining
Computer Aided Design
Electronics and Coding
Power Tools
Business Development
Team 702 members have gone on to attend top universities like Yale and MIT and get hired at leading technology companies like Raytheon.
Members of the Bagel Bytes also mentor robotics teams at the CCUSD Elementary Schools ("The Bitty Bytes") and at Culver City Middle School ("The Big Bytes").
With the guidance of coaches and mentors, Team 702 members are encouraged to help generate funding for the team by signing up local sponsors as well as applying for corporate and national grants.

Sponsorship Benefits
All sponsors, regardless of level, receive the following benefits for that Robotics season:
Your company logo on our team website and on all major team videos uploaded to YouTube
A spotlight post about your business on our Facebook and Instagram pages
Your company mentioned prominently in an e-mail blast to all team member parents
A framed photo of the team featuring your company logo that you can display at your place of business to show that you proudly sponsor Culver City High School Robotics
The “Take a Byte” CCHS Booster Club Discount Card program
In addition to the perks listed above, each sponsor, regardless of level, has the option of participating in a special program designed to promote their business to hundreds of local Culver City High School students and their families.
Every member of a CCHS team (robotics, sports, debate, etc.) will be given a special “Take a Byte” CCHS Booster Club Discount Card good for the school year (August - June). Each participating local business will offer a 10%-15% discount on any purchase or service to a student or family presenting their card at the time of purchase.
As a sponsor, you are not required to participate in this program. But if you do participate, then your business will be listed on a special webpage that will be regularly promoted to student members of CCHS teams and their families. This is a great opportunity to market your business to local residents as you show your support for CCHS and its various teams.
Perk Levels:
Sponsorships are annual, typically going through the school year (August – June) and renewable annually thereafter. Benefits are determined by donation level:
PLAIN BAGEL Supporter - $250
All of the benefits listed above.
POPPY BAGEL Supporter - $500
All of the benefits listed above plus your logo displayed on our robot and T-shirts for that season.
SESAME BAGEL Supporter - $1,000
All of the benefits listed above plus we will create a customized short video for your company’s social media to promote your sponsorship of our robotics team showing the robot we built with your help.
EVERYTHING BAGEL Supporter - $5,000
All of the benefits listed above plus your company name will be announced as a team sponsor before each of our matches at all robotics tournament competitions.
