The Culver City High School Speech and Debate team is comprised of students who compete in a wide variety of speech and debate tournaments in and around southern California, as well as nationally. Speech and debate builds a myriad of abilities—to research, analyze, think critically, speak in public, see the big picture as well as the details, and break down information to make a compelling case. These are essential skills for a modern world.
We recommend a $100 donation per student.
It’s time for the second annual Culver City High School Speech & Debate Bowl-A-Thon! Held on Sunday, May 17, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Lucky Strike Mar Vista, the Bowl-A-Thon will help the S&D Team raise much-needed funds for tournament costs, transportation, and team growth. So slip on your bowling shoes and roll a couple of strikes—or donate in support of your debater!—for a very worthy cause!
ARE YOU A STUDENT OR PARENT?—Students (Speech & Debate team members as well as any other students who would like to bowl) should register below. Parents/guardians—don’t let the kids have all the fun! Grab some friends and come bowl with us! Registration includes bowling and shoes for 1.5 hours, pizza, and soft drinks.
